Our Leavers’ celebrations began on Thursday with the Upper Sixth’s much-anticipated annual “takeover” of Chapel. Making a memorable entrance to the stirring soundtrack of Chariots of Fire, the pupils arrived in style, proudly wearing their Leavers’ hoodies. The service featured a beautiful duet from Shiv and Bryer, followed by a series of heartfelt and humorous speeches from members of the year group. Just when the school thought the celebrations were drawing to a close, the Upper Sixth surprised everyone with an energetic flash mob performance to Lush Life.
Friday brought the formal Leavers’ Service, attended by pupils and parents alike, before everyone gathered in Satis Garden for drinks and cake in the sunshine. The celebrations then continued with the Sixth Form Awards, featuring the ever-entertaining “most likely to…” categories, voted for by the pupils themselves. To round off their final day together, the year group took on an escape room challenge, enjoying one last adventure as a cohort before embarking on their next chapters.
