Thank you to Alex (U5) for leading the hymn-singing and performing musical pieces on the Rochester Cathedral organ at our Chapel services, both this and last week. King’s is fortunate to have such musically gifted pupils and in particular to be able to nurture emerging talent on this mighty instrument. To lead the music in such an awe-inspiring building, however, is quite special, demanding confidence, sensitivity, spontaneity of response and, of course, advanced technical skill and musicianship. Thanks are also due to Mr Robbie Carroll and Mr Adrian Bawtree of the Cathedral, for their important roles in training our past, present and future organists and choristers.
