On Shrove Tuesday, an excited group of Prep School pupils gathered in the playground, eager to take part in the annual House Pancake Tossing competition. Assisted by score-keeper Mrs Mates and some willing volunteers, pupils were challenged to flip their pancake as many times as they could in 20 seconds.

The crowd of spectators was treated to some spectacular displays of pancake flipping skill and enthusiastically cheered on their Houses. Sadly, over time, the pancakes began to break apart and so, after eight rounds, we had to announce the end of the event, leaving the scraps to be enjoyed by the gulls once break time was over.

Many thanks to everyone who took part, helped out or supported and results will be announced soon.
