Max C (Year 7) has won the Major Table Soccer (subbuteo) tournament in the U12 category in Frameries, Belgium. This continues his winning streak this year, having aced Major subbuteo tournaments in Europe.
The first one was in Paris in February, and last weekend, Max defended his title in Belgium. He beat Italian Davide Balito comfortably with 6 – 0 in the final. In its report of the Frameries Major, the International Federation of Table Football (FISTF) says that in U12, “the English boy Max did not let any chance to his opponents all day.”
This is quite a feat for an English player, and Max makes history by winning three Major titles in one year and defending one of them.
Max is currently number 2 in the world, with a high possibility of moving into the first place. These tournaments are great preparation for the World Cup in September in Royal Tunbridge Wells.
