The Pre-Prep Eco Council met this week and discussed many exciting green initiatives for the year.
They celebrated the success of ‘Green Day’ at the beginning of the term where they wore green to raise awareness and had fun with various activities based on an environmental theme.
The Eco Council then discussed how they have all been enjoying their Outdoor Learning activities with Mrs Charles which has deepened their connection with nature and allowed them to love and appreciate the outdoors environment. This has made them more aware of the importance of saving energy by switching off the lights and computers in the classroom and saving paper.
They are planning to meet with Jacqueline Sparrow to discuss which edible plants to grow in their playground allotments this year and would like a wildflower garden by their bug hotel to encourage the pollinators and decomposers who need our support.
