Rugby
King’s has a proud history of playing rugby and believes wholeheartedly in the sport as a vehicle for character development.
In the Preparatory School, the rugby season runs from October half term to February half term. Both contact and non-contact variations of the game are offered, with the traditional format supplemented by Rugby Sevens in the Lent term.
Rugby is the core sport for Senior School boys in the Michaelmas term (September-December). Our fixture list is extensive, designed to offer challenging and well-balanced competition across all age groups. Fixtures typically take place on Saturday mornings, with occasional mid-week games. Showcase floodlit fixtures are hosted at the home of our partner club, Medway RFC.
Pre-season training for our senior pupils takes place in August, and Friday evening academies are offered to Senior School pupils, providing additional skills coaching and team preparation before fixtures.
