Welcome to
KING’S SCHOOL ROCHESTER
King’s is a remarkable school with a rich and diverse heritage, where pupils have been educated for over 1,400 years under the watchful gaze of Rochester Cathedral and Rochester Castle.
At King’s, we believe in preparing children for the 21st Century through educating the whole child. Our priority is ensuring that happy children perform to their best and the School is an exceptionally happy and friendly place where moral values, self-discipline, emotional intelligence and a Christian spirit underpin our family community.
Every step of the King’s School Rochester journey, from Nursery through to Sixth Form, is designed to help pupils flourish, grow in confidence and discover new passions. We believe that building a love of learning and developing independent thinking skills are just as important as achieving the best grades, and so our teachers help each pupil to realise their own potential.
There’s one motto we live by at King’s and that’s simply “Work Hard, Play Hard and Look After Each Other”, no matter what age you are.

Those who joined in Senior School may not know where, or even what, the Wellbeing Centre is––but my friends and I believe they should. Our visit on Wednesday showed us just how much it had to offer. The beads were popular and it's safe to say we all left with a bracelet. There was [...]

The theme of Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 was ‘Movement’. The Lower Sixth pupils took the opportunity for peer [...]

Eighteen scholars attended the last of this year’s Zetountes Lectures, a presentation by Father Padfield entitled “Is spirituality the highest human condition?” Focussing on the American writer Ken Wilber’s “integral theory of spirituality”, which draws on the great truths of religious traditions east and west, the talk promoted a wide-ranging discussion, fittingly given that [...]
On Saturday our rowing team competed at the Chiswick Regatta on the river Thames. The Regatta first took place in 1924 and we were proud to be part of the 100 year anniversary celebration. We had three crews competing: one girls double (WJ15 2 x L5th), one boys coxed quad (J15 4 x L5th), [...]

King's staff and pupils alike rendered Thursday afternoon less grey, as they took to the Alps to participate in the Colour Run. This much-loved event was held to fundraise for Cancer Research, to commemorate and honour those from our King's family who have recently been lost to this dreadful disease. Last term, King's experienced [...]
Mr Fish, Head of History and Politics, addressed the academic scholars of the Zetountes Society on Friday on the theme of "Designing Disney's theme parks - turning dreams into reality".
